SBR generated 3 strategy sessions under rapid-fire efforts with quick closure on high-priority deliverables. The project provided managers with a custom-built information clearing house through which to implement tactical initiatives.

Tea-Leaves — Investment Strategy

SBR analyzed a North American cinema chain's proposed expansion into Vietnam. Potential risks and threats were identified. Advice on the company's investment positioning was proffered. Detailed operating information was assembled across over 100 locations in major markets such as Ho Chi Minh City, Haiphong, Hanoi. The methodology developed allowed the similar scanning of other AS-PAC national markets.

Track-Record — Market Assessment

SBR conducted a major market, opportunity and trends assessment for home video and software products. Tasks included forecasting, the examination of distribution strategies, the identification of market entry points, niche-based positioning. SBR profiled key players across the distribution chain with special emphasis given to non-traditional vehicles (e.g. Napster).

Organon — ITSP Construction

An information technology strategic plan for a national broadcaster was built over a 4-week period to embrace 30 television stations. Billing and advertising systems, GL, desktop and security standards were among the issues treated.
