Bootstrap — Reconstruction of Historical & Financial Information

As part of a corporate-wide strategic planning cycle, SBR rebuilt 20 years of financial data from a variety of sources-archived files, microfilm, mainframe, tape. Thousands of documents were used to validate stretches of quantitative information irrespective of source and intervening organization realignment. Projects embraced by the work included—MASERs, intelligent transportation systems, space observatory management, satellite telemetry.

Just Cause — Functional Audit

High priority, visible issues of legal, macroeconomic and technical concern were assessed so that the sale of satellite transponder capacity could move forward. The result was a 150-page study including demand analysis, risk assessment, scenario and impact modelling.

ILSP — Integrated Logistics Support Plan

Construction of an in situ missile tracking control system logistics support plan. Elements of the plan included the examination of MTBF and other key equipment performance parameters. U.S. DoD standards governed. Concepts drawn from reliability engineering, TQC, and 6-Sigma assisted in simplifying component design, manufacturing, and assembly.
